Acid Batteries: Maintenance-required batteries, being the most popular and frequent in the market. In this type, we have two uses: (A) Starter (red) and equipment or services. The main differences between these two types of batteries are that starter batteries allow up to 6 large discharges (cycles) and from this point, the plates begin to degrade, progressively reducing their capacity. It's also important to keep them adequately charged and not leave them unused for long periods. (B) Service (yellow) can provide up to 600 discharges (cycles), which makes them recommended for powering equipment on the vessel without charging (fridges, lights, etc.) Technology: Lead, acid with a liquid electrolyte with a Ca/Ca alloy, caps for gas escape. 45 A
